Vote, Vote, Vote

Hi friends! It’s a dreary morning here in Massachusetts with a white sky and raindrops on my window. But nothing can dampen my excitement to get out the door and VOTE!

I’m not sure I can describe the feeling of excitement that overwhelmed me when I opened my eyes this morning. FINALLY we are on our way to choosing our next president, finally the Democratic race is one between multiple stellar candidates, and finally the votes of Democrats around the country really count (although it’s worth remembering that many of our fellow Americans are not citizens and cannot vote — all the more reason to take the responsibility gravely).

What a joy! What an opportunity to affirm the values of freedom, equality, peace, and true compassion for our fellow Americans and for people around the world. YAY VOTING!!!!

I’m happy for you and all those who get to vote today! I’m also nervous and excited about the possibilities and the future direction of the U.S. Be bold, everyone! We in Wisconsin vote Feb. 19th.
