You can also connect with a Unitarian Universalist community through the internet. There are several websites where you can develop your spirituality and build relationships with other seekers. Many Unitarian Universalists find spiritual support in these online communities, and the leaders of these communities are both talented and passionate.

If you are between the ages of 18 and 35, consider visiting the Church of the Younger Fellowship (CYF) online. CYF was started several years ago by tech-savy young adults, and has grown to 400 members. At CYF, you can listen to sermons, participate in chats, create a blog for others to read, contact the CYF minister, and more.

For seekers of all ages, the Church of the Larger Fellowship (CLF) offers a rich introduction to our faith for newcomers, and venues in which longtime Unitarian Universalists can grow in their faith. CLF has been in existence for over half a century, and serves 3,000 Unitarian Universalists. CLF provides podcasts, online classes, e-mail lists for people with shared interests, small groups for building relationships with other Unitarian Universalists, and more. The Church of the Larger Fellowship also has many resources for parents raising their children as Unitarian Universalists.

If you are called to Unitarian Universalism, but are not able to find a congregation in your area that meets your needs, please visit CLF and CYF today. These websites provide meaningful opportunities to connect to other Unitarian Universalists and to develop your spiritual life.

Yet another option for virtual community is the First Unitarian Universalist Church of Second Life, which I will address in more depth in my next post.
