Spring Voices

Reading the blogs of other Unitarian Universalists gives me a sense of community and leads me to deeper reflection. I enjoy seeing how we approach some of the same topics from different angles.
Here are some recent reflections on spring, by Unitarian Universalist writers:
Rev. A.C. Miles offers a beautiful image of her Unitarian Universalist congregation in Richmond, its lawn covered in pink petals.
Unitarian Universalist Chris Gosselin shares a poem about the coming of spring. His writing highlights the difficulty of embracing spring after a difficult winter.
Unitarian Universalist minister W. Frederick Wooden describes his son’s reaction to the changing seasons. In “For Everything There is a Season,” Wooden writes, “Today I am reminded that the inner state is profoundly connected to the outer, the personal to the social, the human to the non human. Being at peace is not about stillness so much as being aware of where we are and trying to embrace that time and place.”
